Undergraduates’ Knowledge Attitude and Behavior (KAB) Towards the Disclosure of Personal Data Online in China

In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, employment and education sectors have shifted significantly toward online platforms. However, increased reliance on these digital spaces has raised concerns about personal security information. Scholars taken note this issue explored its implications, with some employing extended knowledge, attitude, behavior (KAB) model to investigate moderating effects societal level relationship between knowledge attitude. Hong et al. [1] conducted a study examine undergraduates’ KAB regarding data sharing in Chinese higher institutions during pandemic. Using questionnaire, recruited 156 participants from three universities West East China. SPSS 23.0, analysis revealed widespread lack awareness, positive proper among college students information leakage Notably, disparities were observed different grades, majors, genders. Students their sophomore, junior, senior years found be more concerned than freshmen availability online; what’s more, science majors other majors. There appear significant gender differences sharing, ie., males are females. Through study, we aim emphasize that students’ awareness protection needs improved suggest university administrators policymakers increase training. The findings contribute theoretical practical efforts improve education. Future studies should broaden survey sample primary factors influence ensure generalization findings.
